Vilet grew up in a small village of Goblins in Greenland. She started studying coercer magic in her mid teens but took a few years to get a hang of the basics as she could only study when her parents weren't looking. When she cheerfully announced to her parents her new skill she didn't expect the reaction she received. Her father flipped and kicked her out, her friends shunned her and refused to let her in and the term "mind-rapist" was thrown around whenever she came near. So she left.

She eventually made her way to Aberddu, someone along the way suggesting she try the AAG. She has since decided this person didn't like her very much. Arriving in Aberddu she settled in, setting herself up as model before seeking the Adventurers. It is here she found her new faith, via Teleila Rosewater, a friendly artist who suggested she join the temple of the Aesthetics.

It is also whilst in the guild Vilet created herself a new family. She was adopted as ward of Nostros Delthan, Head of the temple of the Celestial Flame, and took on his surname. She has also developed her self a range of good friends whom she considers some of to be family. These include Shari Stern, Alfie Cartwright and Reet, as well as Teleila. It is with the help of these people Vilet is getting over the slaughter of her family in the massacre of Greenland by the God-King Al'rahkim.

In the build up to, and the duration of the guild's trip to Aberddu, Vilet fell into a sort of depression, almost suicidal, due to the feeling she'd lost her closest friend, Alfie, as she'd attacked him in an attempt to prevent the death of two unsuspecting peasants who'd got themselves undeathed in the Ba'an Hills. This culminated in her doing almost everything in her power to destroy herself - winding up void spirits, running at Keesoth and Al'rahkim when she knew she couldn't hurt them. When she returned she managed to contact Alfie and reconcile. But she never quite recovered from the depression.

She did claim something else from Araby - Spotting a shiny black necklace on the floor whilst running across the field of battle She scooped it up and shoved it into her top, where she felt a familiar tingle of magic, but shrugged it off for the time being. Rikku, when shown the necklace, told Vilet, in slight shock, that she was hiding the Eye of the Abyss, a powerful necromantic item that had been used to weaken the God-King. Not entirely sure what to do with it, she hid it in a box in her chimney.

Whilst helping Reet clean out Alexander's - who had died during Araby - room, she discovered a black candle that also had that familiar tingle of magic. She pocketed it and stored it in the box with the Eye, until the first night of the guild meetings after Araby. just beofre heading down, her curiosity got the better of her, and she lit the candle. This led to her being portalled to Frysia, where she was kept prisoner for two months whilst a construct of her spied on the guild for the Frysians. The guild EVENTUALLY spotted the fake, when Fenrir appeared to the guild and pointed out it wasn't quite right. The guild then mounted a successful rescue mission, with no casualties, and thus, found themselves lumbered with a mentally damaged goblin.

Upon her return Vilet took to the new drug circulating the city, and got hopelessly addicted, which led to Nostros locking her away and attempting "Counselling" - methods including chess, chaining her down to prevent escape, and telling her how if she'd been a better person people would have noticed the fake earlier. She escaped, arriving at the guild on a... complicated eve. A good friend of hers Ümlaut was "executed for breaking city and guild law". This didn't sit well with Vilet's currently unstable mind, and has led to first a relapse of her earlier madness (being convinced that she was living in a dream realm, that she was still stuck in Frysia) followed by a strange focus. Whether this focus is a resurgence of her suicidal tendencies is yet to be discovered.
