True Fey
True fey were the first race created, and populated many of the worlds created by the Elder gods. True fey are a humanoid species, with elongated pointed ears many times longer than the those of most elves and eexagerated "elven" features which give them a feral allmost foxlike or feline appearence. The other striking physical feature about the True fey is that their teeth are pointed. Unlike Elves the True Fey have no skin colourations,though with their mastery of glamour they can alter their appearence at will.
They are also an immortal species, never aging and not effected by all disease and poisons (The god plague and the venom of the manticore are the only known exceptions to this,both being of divine origin). They ignore wounds that would heal most other creatures and posses unnatural healing capabilities, along with agility and strength of supernatural nature. True Fey are also telepathic able to communicate with other fey, and to read thoughts or influence peoples minds.
Being Immortal and created when there was no death or astral realm,if they are destroyed then their soul is destroyed they do not get to go to any type of "after life" and they can not be ressurected or reincarnated.
- True Fey society is one of the few examples of a matriarchal structure, with the fey living in "blood lines" small nomadic prides dominated by a single Alpha female and the other dominant females.
Only the Alpha and those she gives permission to out of the other dominant females are allowed to reproduce. It should be noted that mating and reproduction are two different things in True fey, with reproduction requiring secret rites to enable the creation of a True Fey spirit.
There is little difference between non-dominant males and non dominant females, as both are capable of altering their gender under certain situations.
- When seperated from the presence of the dominant females for any length of time, the males and non dominant females will start to become more dominant and often seek other species to mate with, if they are alone they will often seek to return to their bloodline, if in a group then one of them will eventually become Alpha thus forming a new bloodline.
Any True Fey that has become a dominant can not return to being a normal True Fey again.
- When encountered in a peaceful situation, True Fey are often inquisitive and feral. Prone to playing "tricks" on people and just having a good time, it should be noted that the True Fey idea of "good time" is often not the same as other peoples. In peaceful encounters they often ignore younger races entirely unless they think they can get some entertainment from them. They respond aggresively and violently to Un-living and any that protect them, though will stop attacking once the undead is destroyed).
- It is possible to negotiate with them, though it is difficult as they have great difficulty understanding the younger races priorities or needs (life is so much easier when you are immortal and mark time in eons).
- True Fey racial traits:
The natural abilities of the True fey were replicated through the old Krynok spell list giving an idea of the threat level of True Fey as monsters,in effect they were all casting six levels of spells as natural abilities, with the dominant True Fey having Seven levels as natural abilities and some magics.
- Only takes enchanted damage.
- Immortal (can never be ressurected or reincarnated,is immune to all disease and poison except for the divine plague and Manticore venom).
- Is able to alter their appearance,size,shape at will with their glamours.
- Is natuarly invisible and leaves no tracks or scent, but rapid movement renders them slightly visible as it generates an optical blur (think predator cloaking).
- Can make itself seem to be harmless- lvl 3 spell effect (I think it was lvl 3) if saved then no effect.
- Can make themselves etherial for short periods of time.
- Can discern the direction of something they seek.
- Can heal their wounds. (similar to the various low-mid level wound heal spells).
- Can generate mild pleasure with a touch(lvl 1 effect, enough to reduce pain but not counter it.).
- can gererate mild warmth with a touch (as above,slowely dried stuff or allowed the recipiant to ignore harsh weather.Fae rarely needed to wear clothes.).
- Can summon Fae-kin, small glowing "tinkerbelle" fairies which act as summoned creatures (either 3 small warrior types or 1 mage type, the mages had half the casters spell levels as castable levels), this was only available to the more dominant fae.But groups of lesser fae could "summon" fae kin if they have lived in an area for at least a week. This represented the Fae "restoring" the natural order of things to an area and the increase in magic. This time period can be reduced by friendly shamans.
- Can sustain the summoned fae-kin with magic to keep them alive for longer (equiv of 5 magic points per 15 mins I think).
- Can cast "ley to rest" and devour a defeated enemies soul, regaining some magic and health.Again this was only available to the more dominant Fae
- Can see with the eyes of a god, this was much more powerful than other sight spells able to see much more than spirit sight and relfected their nature and mastery of glamours.
- Can cause a female to become pregnant with a touch, the child comes to full term in a month. The mother is effected by a mind effect that prevents her causing harm to the child. Once born the child ages at 1 year per week and has its "fathers" saves untill it reaches maturity.(Changelings were great. Though this spell required the other players consent for use).
- Can cause massive magical damage at short range, whenever willed (range 6 feet,4 points of enchanted through knockback).
- Can enchant their weapons.Only available to the more dominant Fae.
Dominant True Fae lvl 7 spells only: Hunters form -The old Krynok version of summon avatar. The True Fae was able to call upon the older gods to imbue them with more power: +50hploc+50spell points, ability to cause 4points of enchanted through damage with their hands/weapons. Duration 1 hour(or 15 mins cant remember). Summoning: The Fae is able to summon 1 single fae creature to assist them (lvl 7 summon spell) the creatures had full self will and were not obliged to be cooperative. Acquiescence: With a glance or atouch a fae is able to fill a target with orgasmic rapture,causing them to be unable to defend themselves or take any action other than enjoy (15 minutes if fail the save,1 minute if pass).
