The only thing she remembers..
After regaining conciousness in an Albion whorehouse, she looks up and finds herself about to be ravished by a large, hairy farmer . Despite his size, she managed to fight him off and steal his knife from his pile of clothes. Locating the Madame of the brothel sat in front of a mirror at a dressing table in the main chamber, she thrusted the blade close to her throat, demanding to know what was going on. The Madame replied, "you'd been purchased secretly from an Aberddu slaver about a year before. As long as I have known you, you were catatonic, like a zombie,.." She grinned, "..never speaking, dumbly doing as commanded. Just what was needed of you."
Looking into the mirror seeing herself for what she could only remember as the first time, she noticed a Nipponese symbol tattooed on the side of her jaw: Traitor. Her stomach lurched as soon as she read it. Knocking out the Madame she snatched a mask and clothes, as well as robbing a good amount of money from the whorehouse. Leaving the house of ill repute she headed north towards Aberddu, hoping to find out who she might have been. For want of a better name, she adopted what she had been given as a slaved prostitute: Rikku.
As a woman travelling alone, she occasionally needed to fight, quickly discovering that she was quite skilled with her dagger. Multiple other skills (yet no explanation for how they had got there) kept arriving into her mind.
Arriving at Aberddu in turmoil, with the battle lines drawn and joined. Her investigations into slave rings lead her nowhere, and very few people were eager to talk to a young lady, wearing a mask, dressed all in black. After having her knives stolen by a pick-pocket, running low on money and growing hungry, she began to look around for work as a mercenary. Soon enough, she was quickly pointed in the direction of the Adventurer's Guild, told “they'll take anyone crazy enough”.
