A brief accounting of the origins of the God War, including notable events

The Divine beings of Urdd have long had close relations with the mortal realms, though usualy direct interactions were in the form of visions, visitations by servitor spirits or avatars, and in rare cases spiritual interactions in the astral realms.

Then in 1097AC the Divine Avatars who enacted the will of the Younger Gods on Urdd decided to herald in another Cataclysm as they were not impressed with the porgress of mortals. It fell to an impartial divine agent known as the mesenger to bring this to the attention to the mortal realm, and in particular the AAG. A small group of AAG members( Krell, Jerehmia Rose, Traygon Drago) were taken through a number of past, present and future events before finaly having to defend the mortal world in a "divine Court".

The group were succesful in preventing the immediate destruction of Urdd but in doing so they angered a number of Divine entities including a powerful representative of Chaos who was banished to Urdd as a direct result of the "divine court".

The Chaos Elemental

This Elemental wrought havok and chaos through out the realms, and after some time was finaly destroyed by an AAG group, but the damage was done. The refusal of the Chaos Pantheon to reclaim or remove this elemental set a dangerous precedant as the other Pantheons began sending agents of increasing power into the mortal realms to push their agendas. This escalation increased to such an extent that divine agents of a power even greater than those avatars who "ruled" Urdd were reported, and eventually direct divine interaction.

Krynok Return

This Chaos and turmoil for a time masked the return of an entity that only the Younger Gods knew of, Krynok the All Father. This Elder Gods arrival caused even futher strife in the Divine ranks, as this entity was once an enemy to the Younger Gods supposedly destroyed long ago.

Ratkin surface

In 1098AC this strange race of beings surfaced from tunnels deep in the ground, these strange creatures worshipp "The horned rat". From the outset they were attacked by forces from both Kesothian and Life Temples. They had their origin in the dark days that ended the Great war between the "Elder Gods" and the "Younger Gods". The Victorious "Younger Gods" sought ways to isolate or remove those remaining servants of the " Elder Gods", but these creatures were composed of immortal resiliance, and danced to differant laws than mortal creatures. That was until Kesoth and Life used secrets of dark science and alchemy fueled by their powers to empower their followers with the ability to create a plague that would strike down even the un-aging "True Fae".
This dark secret was the great shame of Life, as many countless creatures were tortured and killed, their bodies hidden in great burial mounds buried in the darkest places of Urdd. Sealed behind great doors marked with symbols warning all to never enter.

Over the many years that followed the extinction of the Fae, the bodies in these dark places were consumed by vermin, rats and their like. And soon these simple creatures changed into new races of "humanoid" beings. In the case of Rat-kin these creatures came to identify the strange sigils and glyphs with the writings of their "god" and thus created the myth of the "Horned rat" from corrupted imagery of great being seated in a throne with the antlets of a deer sprouting from his head.

The Divine Items

Items from the War between te Elder Gods and younger Gods begin surfacing, drawn by the return of Krynok and the imminent war.

The fall of the Trickster

matters came to head when war broke out in the heavens. As sides were arraying the youngest of the "Gods" the Trickster was ruthlessly destroyed by the other Gods, whilest at the same time the Tricksters followers were ruthlessly attacked across Urdd by fanatical Paladins, and Templars.

The Defiler

Kesothian forces were the first to act, with The Defiler manifesting it its totality in the mortal realm, apparently with the soul intention of destroying the Iceni, which it did though it was also destroyed in the process in a battle that was both tragic and heroic. This act led to Amrothian forces launching their own attacks.

War

The End

In an act of unseen betrayal the Pantheons of Kesoth and Chaos turned on the Pantheon of Death, destroying Ankhere in an attempt to gain more power for themselves. As This much worshipped God fell, she uttered a primal cry of despair and fear calling out "Father" before she fell at the feet of Kesoth in a moment of silence that echoed through the infinity in what was seen by many to be a key point in the war.

Now with the Gods all manifested on Urdd, the damage that was started with the first manifestation of an aspect on the mortal realm was now beyond this fragile worlds ability to stand.
The very fabric of reality and time began to tear,as the divine forces sought each others total obliteration. And so it was Krynok intervened.
In unison the raging gods did all pause, and then (some with anger, others with gratitude, others with shame) the gods left the mortal realm swept back to their own higher plances of existance.
With their gods seemingly banished from this world, the gathered armies took advantage of this moment to take stock of their posistion, some carried on their "holy crusades" others thankfully called truce and disbanded. The carnage did not end there, thousands of divine servitors and avatars remained either unwilling to leave or stranded by their masters.
In the days that followed stories spread of groups of strange fae creatures, hunting the most powerful of these divine agents, apparently "cleaning house". They were not alone in this, for in the aftermath of the war and the horrors in brought about, many were keen to be seen to be "helping".
Still it is not known how many of these divine servitors were destroyed, or how many of them remain on Urdd secretly plotting or furthering their own goals.

The Fall of the Celestial Flame

Refusing to leave Urdd, the flame was stranded upon the mortal realm and made mortal. The most enigmatic and alien of the Younger gods, this great being soared through the skies like the very phoenix of myth, it is not known why or how it remained when all other gods were removed, but it is known how the flame fell.
As it raged through the skies, it was beset by assailants unknown to observers in a battle that must of raged across all the skies of Urdd. Great flames and light storms raged around the battling entities, divine blood falling like rain.
Then the great winged form of the Celestial Flame fell to earth like a star from the heavens, its body torn and battered, all life gone.

Krynoks law

No God shall manifest on Urdd. Any intervention made by divine entities will create an oppurtunity for those forces directly opposed to them to intervene. This intervention is immediate, and upon resolution those involved will return to their realm.

Those mortal creatures who choose to worship me shall serve as a voice of warning and moderation to those faiths who seek to act on this world.

As such they shall be granted priestly powers so they may walk the lands and seek out any signs of divine interference, and warn those taking part that their actions are endangering this world and are known.
