Solustaran was born in 1078 AC in the town of Harrowborg, the principle town of the Dukedom of Krasnyj, Paravel. His Father and Mother, Lord Brutus Vladamir Valerian and Lady Elizabeth Zhanna Valerian, are the Duke and Duchess of Krasnyj.

Solustaran and his twin sister are the first born out of a total of seven siblings. At the age of 13 Solustaran was sent to the Mages guild in Aberddu to begin studying the arts of the Moulder. Solustaran currently resides within his tower, The Dragon Tower (A joke at the expense of his neighbours, Albion), and has recently attained the title Professor, and a he teaches moulder magic, from beginner to advanced, as well as several classes on the subject of Planes. He is one of the Assistant chairs in Planar Studies.

Since returning from his sabbatical in Tartaria where he helped destroy the entity known as Magnamis, and witness the resurrection of the Phoenix totem, Solustaran has restored a broken portal circle in Alendria, and helped with the subsequent calibration of the Portal Network. After calling for Ed deBriee to be put on trial for the murder of peasants he was kidnapped by Ed who turned out to be a demon doppleganger, and was rescued from the Pit by Adventurers.

Early in 1110 Solustaran went onto a mission to strike deep into the stronghold of a new rising God, named Vengeance to return the Soul of Edward deBriee. The Mission was a success, with the only casualty being Eldoth Naler whose soul was taken by Vengeance.

After witnessing the death of Lord Commander Militant Jonah Lestyrian at the hands of a newly resurrected Al'Rakim (A God-King slain by Adventurers) Solustaran attempted to get the Emperor of Paravel to commit troops against Al'Rakim and to reinforce the front line on the coast of Albion and the Sea of Stars, however the Emperor refused, informing him that Paravel wishes to not take sides in this Conflict.

Solustaran lost his life on a mission to retrieve a powerful artifact known as the Eye of the Abyss, which was split into six parts, one of which resided with a God-King known as the Viper King. However a Resurrection was performed an hour later, the Adventurers victorious in taking the Eye. While in Arabi Solustaran learned that Spoils to the Victor had been called, and that his sister Zhanna had already perished, and Solustaran slew his Twin, Marie, and a few weeks later he slew his brother Vladimir.

In May 1110 While on a mission of the utmost importance in Tartaria he not only talked to the trickster in person, but ensured the safety of a little girl so that a sacred rite could be performed for her safety.

During the crusade into Arabi Solustaran figured out how to partially repair the Eye of the Abyss, which killed him and so he rose as a Dhampire, and it was he who used it on Al'Rhakim, rendering him mortal. During the resulting fight Solustaran was possessed by a Keesoth spirit, and masqueraded as Solustaran and was only kicked out when the body died on a mission to Paravel, and was turned into a demi- liche, which caused his wayward soul (which was trapped in the Void) to power the body once more, though he has no memory of what has occurred between the final battle against Al'Rahkim and his subsequent return in Paravel. Solustaran now holds the position of Guild Mage.

Soon after his return news broke that a Pit Gate had opened in a city in Albion, and he has dedicated much of his time toward finding the group of people responsible. However with the deaths of his two best friends, Jim Smith and Exachix he has begun to lose his grip on the sanity that was already tenuous at best. Recently he has augmented and enhanced himself with his magic, becoming an Arcane Construct as a step on what he believes is the path to Ascendance.

House Valerian

House Valerian has distant relations within the Imperial family. in the last two hundred years House Valerian witnessed the degeneration and decay of the nobility within Paravel, and the then Duke of Krasnyj, Lord Ederic Brutus Valerian the second, began a process of eliminating this degeneracy from his own house. He gave the house a new family motto, Spoils to the victor, and decreed that in every generation henceforth, only one would survive, having slain his/her brothers and sisters with their strength, cunning and intelligence, thus leading to a strong family that could one day challenge the power of the Emperor.

The House as it is has not changed. The practice of necromancy is allowed, as is becoming undead, however the Duke must always step aside when only one of his offspring remains.

The Heraldry of House Valerian is an Argent Stag at gaze standing Trippant, with a Purpure Chief and a Sanguine Base Per Pile. The House Words are Gloria ut Victor (Glory to the Victor)
