Protector
The Protector is the Mage that devotes himself to utilising his magic for the protection of others. They can fortify armour, attune themselves to others (to know when they are in danger) and cast out poison. This makes them natural bodyguards. They become adventurers as their protection powers are often in demand by others, either for money or just simple gratitude.
While it is thought that Protectors utilise magic in much the same way as Moulders do – that is to say they take the ebb and flow of the magical force around them and shape it to a form that suits them, they have a very different purpose to their magic. Protectors use their magic to defend other people, and to stop others fighting. They are generally quite selfless, and the basic spells they posses reflect this. With this magic they make very good bodyguards, but they are flexible enough to be found in many niches, becoming merchants and warriors among other things.
