The Middle Kingdoms

Historically, the region known as the Middle Kingdoms has been little more than an ongoing land grab. Minor monarchies and small states have risen up and been wiped out there for centuries. In the last few years, the region had reached relative political and geographical stability until the event of the twin gates.

In 1105ac a pit gate tore open in the middle of one of the Kingdoms and began to expand, drawing the void gate from the Ba’an Hills towards itself. The foul creatures that spilled out of the gate and the destructive energy of the gates themselves caused devastation killing thousands and forcing the remaining population to evacuate. Even when the gates where closed, the region was left as a burnt and desolate wasteland. Only a few kingdoms have been brave enough to re-establish themselves there since.

Current Middle Kingdoms

• Meridian - The new Iceni homeland, a kingdom ruled in the name of Amroth

• Greenland - The greenskin homeland, ruled by High King Gnasrak and the Greenland High Council. The borders of Greenland are extremely well guarded and only greenskins are allowed in (apart from special guests of the High councils).

• Freedom - The gypsy homeland, more a state of being than a geographical location it comprises a moveable feast of caravans, campsites and markets that changes its borders as necessary.

• Rosada - A tiny kingdom ruled by King Spike Archer.

• New Carthane - New established kingdom of Carthane
