Mattheus was raised by the Aberddu Mages Guild in the Mages Guild from a very young age. His parents paid his membership fees when he was a little older than 5.
He grew up as an unremarkable Moulder for much of his adolescence although possessing remarkable reserves of magical energy. However shortly after his 19th Birthday he over indulged at a party and found himself with his limbs torn off and a member of the Aberddu Adventures Guild. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
For over a year of his life he was subtly controlled by a Coercer and her companion by the name of Sirius and Rigel, (But he just calls her the Coercer Bint) under whose control he soul drained Finn and Ezekill (who were later resurrected) and attempted to destroy Unity (and incidentally anihilate Aberddu), until the enchantment was dropped by a freak anti-magic wave.
In an attempt to kill her he was part of a mission to slay her when he came under her control again. This time capturing a handful of the guild council before being cleansed by Miranda.
He was cursed by Lycanthropy by Gnashrak, and the power of a powerful demon posing as the resurrected Celestial flame allowed him to control his dual nature until he realised the duplicity and was thoroughly cleansed by the Sea God temple, before later being cured of his affliction permanently.
Since then he joined the Aberddu militia attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Died at the hands of a mysterious assassin only to be subsequently resurrected by the work of Marnius.
He caused the accidental death of a moulder and the invasion of Rosada by Greenland.
He later retaliated by imitating Gnashrak and causing the deaths of several hundred greenskins
In 1102 he took an expedition to Araby where he excavated a tomb belonging to a powerful lich known as the Rage King. Where he recovered an ancient version of the Book of Sands.
The conflict between Dream and Nightmare he found himself without a duplicate and so crafted the Coffee Table of pointless enchantment. The only magic item crafted in living history to have no purpose was forged from the magical energy of one of the duplicates of the Adventurers.
In 1102 he fought in the Summer of Fire against Salamander
He fought Aelgir in 1103 for which he was rewarded with a wand of Conflagration.
In 1103 he was made a knight of Rosada and in 1104 he became Arch-Bishop because the Archers needed a family priest.
In 1103 he helped destroy the Frysian Pit Gate at the Reckoning.
In 1104 he crafted the Tabard of the Sea God as well as getting embarrassingly stuck with the necromancer in one of his own spells whilst the guild and her undead fought to the death.
1105: ??? and saw him complete one of his most exhausting acts as he evacuated the population of a country almost single handedly
1106: Seems to have had a quiet year
1107: Aided in the destruction of the Obsidian Viper Totem.
1108: Helped kill the Black Inquisitor
1109: Helped kill Magnanamous and ressurrect Clan Pheonix
