Krynok
The odd one out in all of the Gods, Krynok is not part of the original pantheon of Urdd’s Gods.
He is one of the elder gods and claims to be the "All Father", a parental figure and creator of all the younger gods
History
In some mythical ancient distant past, the elder gods claimed to have either created the multi-verse or to have been the first things to come into existance.
Little else is known other than that Krynok claims (and is recognised ) as possibly the father of the younger gods and creator of True Fae.
For reasons only clear to a small few, the younger gods waged war on the elder gods and were the victors, banishing the elder gods from Urdd and existance.
1097AC is claimed to be the time Krynok returned, certainly it marked a rise in fae activity and bickering amongst the younger gods, what is established fact is that this is around when Traygon Drago first spoke of him and had some role in summoning him
. When he returned one of his first actions was apparently to free the Dryads from the bondage they had endured by living in the younger gods world and under their rules,he did this by actually making them creatures of the new world, the first of the new modern fae creatures of the new cycles and patterns, able to move freely once more.
Personality
Krynok is an alien and distant entity to try and understand, only himself and the gods know what is the truth and, even the younger gods are apparently uncertain. Despite this he has shown some "fatherly" emotions, or at least he has acted in a "fartherly" way towards a number of beings.
- He does not seek the direct worship of anyone, he just wants people to accept that he is the all fatherand his role in creation. Indeed it can be noted that when people have tried communicating with him, he was confused by overtures of worship towards him or indeed ANY god.Indeed he has removed himself from the All Gods worship.
- He despises necromancy and demons, it is not know why.
- He loves his immortal childrenFaeTrue Faeyounger gods above those mortals who follow him, for they are how the world used to be.
This makes life tough for mortal followers, as they will rarely if ever understand this connection.
- He is more powerful than the younger gods this was made clear when he intervened to end the God War, banishing the younger gods from the mortal plane, saving it from destruction and in the process setting in place a new set of "rules of divine conduct"
Objectives and Strictures of faith
- At the end of the God War he withdrew many of his gifts from his mortal followers, changing their clerical powers to better suit the modern world and in doing so gave them a new purpose. They were to police the other faiths,to be totaly neutral and ensure that the God War never occured again, by any means!
- He is a God of hunting and everlasting life, when the world was new there was no death, if a being was killed it would just return at sunrise/spring/summer/winter/autumn ect.
His children the True fae were perfect examples of this time, immortal and dedicated to a nomadic hunting pack lifestyle.
- Necromancy is an abomination as are the undead.
- Krynok appears to favour survival of the fittest, certainly his children often say this as do those followers who follow the path of the hunter.
- Path of the all father.
Views and Opinions of others
- Other religions tend to say he is either a demon, fae,or just something not to be trusted. Though it is unclear what the younger gods themselves think since his intervention during the recentGod War.
- A common rumour is that he is possibly the god who the Trickster stole power from,or indeed the Trickster in disguise.
Krynok may also be considered a God of the Land, and as such may also be placed by the Sea God as His opposite. They are certainly the only two Gods who claim everything to be theirs,
