Kesoth is the Darkest of the Gods.
Ostensibly the God of Pain and dishonour, the followers of Kesoth follow a wide range of doctorines.

Aspects
Pain Worship
There are a number of aspects of Kesoth that are followed by those who worship through Pain.
Caros The Beautiful
The Carosite Brethren are a cult that worships through causing themselves pain. They see pain as the ultimate beauty - Pain being the ultimate truth and truth being beauty. Followers of Caros are often heavily scarred, pierced or tattoo.
There is at least one tribe of Carosite's who call themselves 'The Children of Caros'.
Kyrak the Lord of Blood
His followers perform ritual bloodletting and sacrifices. They hunt down heretics and heathens and sacrifice tbeir souls to the glory of Kesoth, leaving their souls to continue forever in screaming pain on the plains of the Great God Kesoth. They believe that Kesoth will be greatful for these souls and look on them kindly.
The Defiler
The aspect of the deity followed by the race known as the Deep Natchwerten. His arrival on urdd heralded the beginning of the God War that was part of the summer of Fire. The Defiler devoured this whole race, before waging war on the material plane . This aspect was slaughtered in a battle with the Iceni who all perished in the fight.
"The Defiler" was the dominant Kesothian God worshipped in Aberddu prior to the God War.
Cheats and Subversives
The Betrayer
The most powerful aspects of Kesoth, the Betrayer is the God of cheats, gamblers and the underhanded. Followers (not worshippers - they do not worship him)of the Betrayer play to win and will do so at all cost. They believe that a dead man with honour is still a dead man. Never turn your back on a follower of the Betrayer if you have something that they want. These are the most lethal of Kesoth followers because they look like everybody else.
The Downtrodden
Merian the Child
Symbolised by a wide eyed street Child - this is the aspect of the God is the protector of all those who are forced to depravity through desperation - street children, beggars and those that live on their wits. This is potentially the only benevolent aspect of Kesoth.
Historical Figures and Temple History
376ac Veronique Tal Maren, a traveller from the South of the Continent builds the original shrine on the banks of the river Ddu. It was originally a shrine to Caros the Beautiful. No one is sure of the exact site of the shrine, although it was possibly somewhere on the Flood Plains of the Ddu
542ac Funded by Lord Clancy of Paravel, the first Temple was built on its site in Aberddu. High Priest at the time was Muruk Bloodhand of the Blood Brethern who instituted a 50 year crusade against all heretic and much blood was shed.
601ac First Observation of the festival of blood - the followers of Caros the Beautiful and Kyrak Lord of Blood partake in a ritual blood letting and flogging ceremony. Those who do not survive are said to have anger the God.
756 ac Unexpected death of High Priestess Tuana Helik plunges Temple into turmoil
771 ac Control of Temple finally seized by Derin of Hethenford, High Acolyte of Caros the Beautiful who remained the high Priest for 63 years
991ac Narin Il Ganak arrives at the Temple in Aberddu from Ctuma, claiming to be a prophet of Keesoth. He performs several extraordinary work, and causes the walls of the temple to bleed. After 21 days he is found dead in the Ritual Hall. His body is taken to the top of a Hill for burial, from where it disappears without trace in front of about 1000 people.

Festivals and Worship Days
The majority of followers do not openly worship or celebrate, however there are a number of days observed by the more zealous.
9 January - Nical Day - On this day, All High Acolytes of the Carosite Brethern are stripped naked and hung by their arms from the Temple Walls from dusk until dawn, in order to prepare for the year ahead.
1 May - Ganakeve - Feast to commemorate Narin Il Ganak, well attended by all
July - The Moon of Blood - A whole moon cycle is dedicated to the ritual slaughter of the heathen and heretic byt the cults of the Lord of Blood. This slaughter starts on the first new moon in July (only practiced in Ctuma, Ba al and Jaffria)
1 September - Thanksgiving. Worshippers of Merian the child (mainly street children) are asked to bring the fruits of their day to the Temple altar in Thanksgiving for the year ahead.
30 October - Festival of Blood Mainly celebrated by the followers of Kyrak. This festival takes the form of a number of ritual blood letting ceremonies and floggings.
