Half Ogres

The half ogres are a rarely encountered race that is unforgettable when meet. Standing at at least six feet in height and exceptionally broad most cut an imposing figure. An appearance made even more striking by pronounced teeth that can resemble tusks, and horns sprouting from their forehead. Such bestial appearance give rise to horror stories among peasants of giant beasts that walk as men, ripping people apart with their tusks and horns before devouring them alive.

Skin colouration can vary in this race more than most others, all spanning human skin tones and including darkened earth, stone grey, brick red or in rare cases a jet black that resembles obsidian. It is believed that the environment a half ogres calls home can affect this colour, so more exotic colourations such as green or even blue are possible. Regardless of its appearance the skin of half ogre is exceptionally thick and strong and can withstand some of the strongest blows.

Half Ogres inherit great strength from their ogre parent, a fully grown and developed example can exceed the strength of a full blooded troll. However this strength comes with a major weakness in the magical world of Urdd, half ogres are complete incapable of using magic for their own ends. While spell casters may help harm or hinder them, a half ogre can not even call up the power of the weakest magical item; let alone cast spells of their own. Most half ogres live very quiet lives. Preferring to shun society as their appearance and rarity cause other races to mistake them for monsters, demons, or more annoyingly in the eyes of an half ogre a green skin. Although some half ogres take advantage of this prejudice, these are normally killed by those seeking to destroy the monsters and demons they so blithely pretend to be.
