History
Born and for the most part raised in Aberddu, Elyas is a Cleric of Law, a Militia Sergeant and a member of the Aberddu Adventurers Guild. Introduced to the Guild by Kully in early 1108, when found wandering in a slightly confused state outside the then guild building, Black Wall Prison. Since then, he has made several good friends within the AAG, and completed several assignments for the Guild successfully (with only one or two being cocked-up). Notably took part in the AAG's invasion of Anoveld, Frysia, and was there when the Black Inquisitor fell and the Demon bound to his soul was struck down by Arkhan Merriks, and was also present the following summer during the attacks by the being known as Magnamous on the newly reborn Phoenix totem in Tartaria. During the mission to destroy Al'Rakhim, Elyas lost his right eye and was struck with a curse by one of the Beast's generals, transforming him into a Gargoyle, and was there when both Al'Rakhim and the Betrayer, an aspect of Keesoth were struck down. Currently Guild Enforcer, and was Acting-Guild Master for about a day and a half.
For some time after joining the Guild, Elyas was without his most recent memories, and those of his childhood and the time spent on the borders of Albion hazy at best. This mental block was removed one Guild Night during an attack by the Fey/Krynok, when a powerful guild-member restored his mind and body to its natural state. He's only told a few of what these memories actually entailed, but their restoration did lead to a week spent hiding in the darkest pub corner he could find. Despite attempting to ignore the revelation of what he was for some time, as of October '09, he seems to have accepted what he did in the past, and is trying to make amends.
As of November 1109, he is still barred from the Law Temple after siding with Jonah Lestyrian in his arguments that they should be attempting to uphold the spirit of Law, and not holding entirely to the written letter. He was also tainted by the Void and the Pit after a recent mission, with them both clinging desperately onto his soul and to each other. After being told be the temples of Aberddu that there was nothing they could do, it took the combined efforts of Kenshiro Tsubasa Akimoto and Jonah to cleanse him. This was a rather messy process. Following this, Elyas took the last name of Jacobi, after his late uncle.
Shortly after being cleansed the first time, Elyas once again found himself venturing into the Pit, this time to rescue several Guildmembers who had been kidnapped and replaced by demons. The mission was a success and the Guildmembers were returned to the mortal plane, though not without lingering damage. A few weeks after this incident, Elyas found himself on a training exercise with several squads of Militia when he was struck to the ground by a bolt of blue energy. Despite being unharmed, Elyas returned to the city as fast as he could, having been told of Jonah's death by the part of his soul that is now interred within Elyas' own. Despite the loss of his friend and mentor, he has resolved that mourning can wait until the God-King Al'Rakhim has suffered his retribution. This resolve has been shaken horribly however, by the recent death of Eldoth Naler at the hand of the Rising God Vengeance.
Despite losing his friends he continued on as a member of the Guild, fighting the Undead incursions and strikes from the minions of Vengeance, and was a part of the mission in 1110 to ensure the safety of a seven year old child from the attentions of the Beast Al'Rakhim and his Undead followers. Despite the missions success, more friends were taken from the Adventurers Guild. During the summer of 1110, he was a part of a joint effort by the Cult of the Wyld and the Crusades of Life and Death in their mission to destroy the God-King Al'Rakhim. Despite the missions success, several members of the Guild that Elyas considered friends were struck down, and he himself was cursed, transforming him into an immortal Gargoyle. The mission was a success; Al'Rakhim was destroyed by the Adventurers and their allies, and the Betrayer was taken from the field by a Greater Avatar of Law that had been sent to aid them in battle.
