The only blood heir of Lord Eithel Teldarin, Duke of Hardruan in the Elven Forest Elavern was born during a strange flux in the wyld, and his mother channeled a huge amount of wyld energy through herself to Elavern by accident. this flux was a precursor to the great drought. due to the amount of power channeled to him he has the ability to bring life to plants, and the gardens of the Teldarin estate are among the most beutiful in the Elven Forest. Lord Eithel soon remarried and gained another son by the name of Desin. It soon became apparent that Elavern and his half-brother were not compatible, for where Elavern made things grow, his brother would destroy it, as he was learning the art of evocation. When he was old enough Elavern's Brother went to the capital of the Elven Forest to join the temple of Chaos.
One day Elavern was tending the gardens on the front of the family home, when he was spotted by a Shaman, who stood and gazed in wonder at the power Elavern possesed. The Shaman then showed Elavern what he could learn, when he could control his gift. Elavern begged his father to allow him to travel with this Shaman, and he reluctantly agreed on the condition that Elavern return to take up his birthright. The Master and his apprentice set off the next day heading first toward Albion.
Several years later Elavern and his master were spending the night in sheltered glade, when several undead attacked them. Elavern's Master was taken down in the first few seconds of the attack, leaving Elavern hopelessley outnumbered. Before they could attack Elavern a Half-Troll came bursting through the trees and slew all the undead. Elavern thanked the Half-Troll who said his name was Brek. Elavern then set about burying his master, when he heard laughter coming from the trees. going to investigate he found a lich who began to gloat that his old nemesis was dead. In a moment of anger Elavern remembered the incantation of a spell he was forbidden to use, as he did not have enough mastery of his gift to use it. Casting the spell, he was engulfed with flame as burning beams of sunlight turned the area into a wasteland, and killed the lich. Elavern was saved by a miracle as he was engulfed in a white light which put out the flame and restored his body to full health. To this day Elavern does not know who saved him from the firestorm. After this Elavern asked Brek to join him and live with him in his home in the Elven Forest
After hearing of a great conflict in 1101 Brek said that he must return to his homeland of Aberddu and aid in the defence of the city state. Two years later Elavern decided to follow Brek to Aberddu.
Elavern joined the AAG in september of 1103, and soon after he decided to follow an ancient family tradition of following Krynok, even though the family hadnt followed him for 6 generations due to the ridicule of following a 'non-existent' god. Elavern began to teach a Tartar named Ragnar the ways of the Wyld and of Krynok during the odd happenings of the winter of 1103/1104, also, Elavern was blessed by Krynok to combat the interfearance of Keesoth with the flow of time. In late spring of the same year, Ragnar became afflicted with the Blood Rot, and in turn Elavern contracted it when he took ragnar to the temple of Krynok to cure him. Elavern died when the cure completely failed on him, but the champions of Elavern's soul were successful in defending his soul. Since the plague was cured from the city, Elavern has lived with the guilt of knowing that it is his fault the disease spread so far so quickly. while on a contract for the guild Ragnar was slain in the void and was turned into an undead. When Ragnar returned to guild Elavern swore to one day set free the soul of Ragnar and to destroy the abomination his body had become.
while on a mission to retrieve Amrothian artefacts, Elavern was near death, and was healed from an unknown source, he believes it is a sign that Krynok is still watching over him. He fought bravely at the Battle of the Gates. While on a guild mission, which turned out to be a set up, he became a vampire, but was later cured by Miranda.
Several weeks later Elavern answered the call of the dead gods to go on a mission to slay the God-King Akhim Ibn Fayen, who had amassed a huge amount of power and was on the verge of becoming the God Emperor by defeating all other God-Kings in Arabi, and was known as "The Beast". On that mission Elavern again lost his life, and his body became an abomination, and his soul once again cast into the Void. After what seemed like an eternity a bright light pierced the darkness of the realm of undeath, and Elavern was rescued from the Void by the hands of the dead gods, and was granted a new body.
Elavern came too in the forest of Romania, the domain of Count Vladislaus Von Orlock in Paravel, and gods had given him a body which reflected the bright fire of his spirit. And after several days of wandering fate would have it that he would bump into Cassandra. Cassandra then lead him once again to the Guild, where Dreg stared in amazement that his friend had been returned to life. After several weeks of finding himself, Elavern was attacked by Kully, and threatened to report her to the Militia, at which the Guildmistress Lia Moonflower told him that he did not deserve the name he had taken, and so Elavern Volunteered to go into the depths of Frysia to destroy the Freetown Bridge. Just before leaving he adopted Cassandra as his sister.
upon successfull return to Aberddu, Elavern was a changed man, he no longer doubted himself, and his faith in Krynok was cemented firmly in place, and stronger than ever before. He has also exiled himself from the other followers of Krynok, so that he can follow the true path. After returning from Frysia, Elavern knighted Virgil Irving as a Knight of House Teldarin.
On the 27th July 1106 Elavern became Duke of Hardruan after the death of his father.
While on holiday with family Jager he was made drunk by Cassandra, but instead of seeing what family Jager did, he was slipped into a strange dream. The same dream he had been having since his return to Urdd. Only now he understood what it meant, and when he returned to the Elven Forest to take up his poition as Duke, he wrote down the path that he followed. He would walk forever the Path of Dawn.
He fought with valour at The Battle of Middendorf against Frysia, but lost his life holding back 5 demons, even though he had no magic left to fight them with while Travis Hunter, Dexter and Something retreated. However, his body was not left for the Frysians to desecrate, Lord Gabriel Dawn grabbed Elavern's body and fled into Paravel.
During the three months before his ressurection, Elavern was not granted access to the realm of Krynok, and spent his time on the astral plane in meditation alongside Sir Jonathan Weston. when he saw that Dreg had also passed on, Weston and Elavern escorted the champion of Amroth to Valheim. Even though Elavern was not given access to the realm of the Father, his conviction and faith remain the same.
A week after his ressurection, Elavern went with Adarius, Mike and Stryke into the realm of the Sea God to rescue Cassandra. Elavern lost his life fighting off many constructs while searching for his sister's body after retrieving her soul. Though he suffers eternal torment, he at least knows that he died so that she may live, and so suffers with a smile, and with the hope that Krynok will one day release him.
