Dreams

At night as Rikku slept, she was plagued by strange, surreal nightmares. None of the images were constant except for three –

a red dragon curling around a sickle,

a beast whose entire body was covered with mouths,

and a corpulent man dressed in Nipponese finery, whose eyes glowed like fire.

Throughout these dreams echoed both the sound of screaming and ominous chanting in words she could not quite make out.
