Bryn joined the guild in February of 1110, attending regularly for a few months before leaving to wander the world. He has reappeared periodically since then and curently lives at the aberddu mages guild. Little is known of his background, but that won't stop it appearing here.

Allayandrus Penderw was born in Aragon in the year 495. His family's position in Aragonese society resulted in his joining the Aragonese army, eventually rising to the rank of Captain at the age of 350. It was during this time that he met his wife, Meinwen Brynsilvin, a priestess of Life attached to his unit as a healer. In time they had two children, Tegan Penderw-Brynsilvin (born 852 AC) and Siorus Penderw-Brynsilvin (born 863 AC). Both children have followed in their parent's footsteps to join the Aragonese millitary.

As he passed his 500th year, Allayandrus was content with his life. However this tranquility was shattered when Meinwen was killed while on an otherwise routine patrol in 1070. Allayandrus, Tegan and Siorus fought for her soul through a ressurection ritual, yet ultimately failed to restore her to life. Though assured that her soul had instead passed into the realm of Life, Allayandrus was haunted by his memories of watching Meinwen's shade being torn apart by the astral spirits that took it from him.

As the years following Meinwen's death passed, Allayandrus became more and more obsessed with the thought of her soul having been lost forever. Unable to remain in Aragon with his memories, he left the country in 1081 and has had no contact with his family there since. As he travelled the world he was horrified to see the fleeting existance possessed by the lesser races; humans born at the same time as him had long since crumbled into dust, with even their graves overgrown and forgotten. He vowed that no-one would be lost in such a way again; so long as a memory remains, the soul can live on. To this end, he reluctantantly found himself drawn to the power of the Void.

Over the last 20 years Allayandrus has abandoned his martial training in favour of the magical arts, combining the power of the Void with the art of the Moulder. Though technically a necromancer he does not raise the dead, instead seeking to ensure that every soul remains in the place it wishes to be. Theoretically he would have no problem with raising someone who gave permission before their death, but he has not yet been presented with this oppertunity. In recent times he has started to use the name Bryn, so as to honour the memory of Meinwen and to remind himself why he now walks a dangerous path.

Time with the guild

Though he has spent little time with the guild, Bryn would almost certainly say the experience has changed him for the better, which is probably an unusual situation for a guildmember. Most recently, whilst assisting with a mission in Albion, Bryn has finally put the memory of Meinwen behind him, and is considering a return to Aragon. He is certainly saner than he has been for most of the last 40 years. Bryn has also developed a close friendship with Grathe Hagan, which has gone some way towards rekindling his faith in Life's goals, even if he disagrees with most of Life's methods. He secretly believes that Grathe could be a far more powerful Voidmancer than he is given time, and has been trying to get her to understand his philosophy, albeit with little success. After all, he can't try too hard; several guildmembers have threatened stabbing related injuries if he makes Grathe cry AGAIN.
