Alendria
In legend, this is the ancestral home of the ’High Elves’ from which all common elves are descended. The green mountains and hills of Alendria are still home to many of the great Cloud Elf families. They build fantastical citadels of pure white stone high in the mountains and rule over the country below. The social structure dictates a strict hierarchy with Cloud Elves at the top, progressing down through Fire Elves, Wood Elves and Earth Elves to other races. The majority of the non-Cloud Elf population live on the rich, fertile flatlands at the feet of these mountains. The Rule of the Cloud Elves is not a benevolent one; laws are stringent and harshly enforced. Although a wealthy nation with a rich magical history and a strong military force, the profit of its trade and advancement is rarely seen by the lower orders. They live predominantly as serfs, servants and subsistence farmers. It is only the sheer might of the Alendrian army that prevents an uprising.
