The Cataclysm strikes the world, sea levels change, and the Ddu estuary becomes wider. The original village disappears under the waves, the Elven Mounds on the south shore become islands within the mouth of the river. The newly formed delta reaches several miles inland.
2AC
Last of the Elves leave the south shore settlements, after opening the flood gates which have kept the rising waters of the River Ddu out of their settlements. The lands are flooded and disappear beneath the waves. Several elven bodies wash up on the shores, all have drowned. Legends begin of the drowned kingdom of the Elves.

Albion sanctions expansion north, and Aberddu along with the rest of Barclaria becomes a province of Albion.
22AC
Aberddu expanded into a small port (population 876 – mainly Purebloods). First warehouses built, and the first stone quay.
25AC
First temple to the Sea God is built at the harbour mouth. Lucius is the first resident priest of the Sea God in the Aberddu Temple.

Aberddu receives Royal Charter from King Faraduth of Albion to have a branch of the Royal Albion Army garrisoned in the town. A second quay and barracks built upstream, half a mile from town.

Merchants Guild open guild house in Trader’s Square. Town expanded to encompass garrison and construction begins on the first town walls.
